Three Decades of Dedication

Bay Union was started in 1990 by Dave Pearse and Nando Menin as a small composite insurance and investment brokerage based in the centre of Durban. At the time there were no cell phones or tablets, Nelson Mandela had just been released from prison after 27 years of incarceration, the Personal Computer was only 10 years old and Tim Berners-Lee published his proposal for the World Wide Web and the first web page appeared.

More than three decades later, the world has changed a lot and so has Bay Union, but the founders are still very much involved in the business – which has now grown into a multi-disciplined, independent financial services group.
